It's the time of year where we tend to eat just a little too much. And not always the best of foods. But it's not really our fault, right? Wherever we go there seem to be cookies or pie or someone's infamous cheese-laden casserole. While sometimes we really do have to eat these foods or risk insulting a grandmother's feelings - there is still hope. At least we can contribute dishes that have some nutritional value. (Sorry, those deep fried onions on your green beans don't count.) While I hope you survived Thanksgiving without going into a food coma or gaining back all the weight you lost for beach season, keep a lookout throughout December for some of our favorite holiday recipes at RAFFL. Sure, we all have our guilty pleasures (eggnog) but we also like to incorporate local Vermont foods, with greater nutritional value, into these heavy eating times.
