Grafting Workshop

Join the Shrewsbury Institute for Agricultural Education (SAGE) and learn how to graft. The workshops will be led by Scott Bolotin who brings over 35 years of grafting experience, and has taught grafting for the Johnny Appleseed Society. This workshop is suitable not only for beginners, but also those with some experience wanting to improve their technique. The workshops will be held in Shrewsbury on Saturday,March 29th, each session will last 2½ hours. Sessions begin at 10:00 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. Cost is $25 per person.

Class size is limited, so sign up early. The rootstock used will be Antonovka, which is a vigorous and hardy type, producing standard size trees. All materials will be provided, including a good selection of scion wood to choose from. If you have a favorite apple in your yard or neighborhood that you’d like to replicate, feel free to bring some scion wood along.
