Steve Peters

Shrewsbury Institute for Agricultural Education (SAGE) PRUNING WORKSHOPs SUNDAY FEBRUARY 23RD 2014 (Sunday March 2nd bad weather date) WORKSHOP 1 10:30-12:00 The focus of this workshop will be primarily on younger, mixed variety fruit trees. There are older trees on the property for discussion and demonstration if time allows. This session will be held at the home of Gretchen Gould and Davis Terrill on Button Hill Road in Cuttingsville. You may call their home that morning if needed - 492-2017. All earlier calls should be directed to Joan Aleshire at 492-3550, please. WORKSHOP 2 12:30 – 2:00 This workshop will be held at Spring Lake Ranch, in Cuttingsville. The apple trees in this orchard are primarily 20 years and older. They have been well maintained, though have not been pruned for a few years. There are also some old apple trees in the vicinity which can be used for restoration pruning lessons. Unfortunately there is no cell phone coverage here, and we ask that you not call the Ranch with questions, as we are their guests. See map for directions and parking information.
