Orwell, VT Phone: 802-948-2840 Website/E-mail: www.effarm.com , email: elizabeth@effarm.com Farm Description / Focus of Internship :small bio-diverse farm on shores of lake Champlain, focused on permaculture.  lasagna beds with organically grown veggies, herbs and fruit, workshops, farm stays, and "Curiosity Shop". Looking for several enthusiastic interns to help with creation of new beds, planting, harvesting, cooking and building of outdoor solar shower, platform tent ,"WC".and outdoor kitchen facility.

Duties: Help with planting, transplanting ,harvesting, mulching in gardens, some cooking. Interns with carpentry skills would be asked to help with building of trellis's, platform tent, "wc" outdoor kitchen area and possibly a sauna. Some help with logistics prior to workshops. Help with horses a plus, but not required. Dates: May 1st - mid November, minimum two week internship, longer stays ideal Housing Situation: 2 bedrooms available in the farmhouse wtih shared bath, kitchen and living room. 2 cats and 1 dog in residence. Beautiful land to tent out on as well. Internship Pay:  housing and vegetarian meals + a small stipend for those with previous gardening or carpentry experience.  *free tuition to workshops for interns staying a month or longer. Internship Hours: average 35 hours + help with cooking meals and light cleaning of farmhouse if staying in the house. Comments: I am interested in longer term collaborations and permaculturally based incubator farm relationships.  This 54 acre farm has huge potential to be a community resource, nature based educational center and host site for workshops.  Sharing of ideas, knowledge and input is most welcome!
