We home-bake delicious Argentine-Style Empanadas. All Ana’s Empanadas are handmade using ingredients that are fresh and natural. Whenever possible, we use meats, cheese and produce from Vermont family farms. We use 100% organic shortening and pure butter in our empanadas and will never use hydrogenated fats or oils.

We have been baking sourdough breads in our wood-fired oven on Bear Mountain since 1984. We use organic raisins & oats. We use Gleason Grains’ hard winter wheat and rye berries from Butterworks Farm. We mill the wheat and rye ourselves. We offer six varieties year-round at the Saturday Rutland Farmers’ Market.

We make bean burgers out of organically grown Vermont beans, veggies, and grains in a manner that generally amounts to ‘yum’. Black Bean burgers with fresh rosemary, Pintos with cilantro and cumin, Kidneys with thyme and squash, and a secret box of seasonal burgers you’ll only catch at farmers markets. We sell wholesale via frozen packs of four and fridged buckets ‘o’ burger base. Retail offers include hot burgers in local fixings and more frozen four packs. All ingredients are bought farmer direct. Future bean crafting will entail Vermont miso, dips, refritos.... Yup and yum.
