Everyday Chef Fall Workshop Series

RAFFL’s Everyday Chef - Food & Cooking Education program aims to build community members’ confidence in the kitchen while highlighting local farms and the region’s agriculture economy.

September marks the beginning of our Fall Workshop Series! We are committed to keeping workshop costs reasonable for our participants. Please click on the links below to see how you can benefit from as well as help us sustain our offerings. 

Stretching Your Local Food Dollar

September 6, Sunday at 2pm - Trinity Episcopal Church - Kitchen

Get the most out of local and fresh food through creative,out of the box cooking, make ahead meals, simple preservation techniques and more. Led by local chef Emily Magner,this interactive workshop will include instruction, demonstration, tastings and sampling,plus recipes and resources for you to take home.

Quick & Healthy School Lunches

September 26, Saturday at 10am - Castleton Community Center - Kitchen

The school year is a busy time for many families and caregivers, and it can be difficult to come up with healthy AND delicious lunchtime meals when you are short on time and energy.  Join Elena Gustavson, RAFFL's Everyday Chef Coordinator and Special Educator, for a hands-on workshop where you will eat, learn and prepare easy, healthy and delicious lunches for both you and your family. Get tips and techniques for organization, meal planning and preparation, along with recipes and ideas that you can USE.  This workshop is child-friendly!
