Northeastern Organic Farming Association of VT is a wealth of information for small farmers in the state. They also house Vermont's Organic Certification program.

The Women's Agricultural Network offers webinars, business planning assistance and "ask an expert" services.

The Vermont Agency of Agriculture can help with questionson agricultural regulations, licensing and other certification needs, as well as provide technical assistance and marketing guidance.

USDA, NRCS, UVM Extension and two Natural Resource Conservation Districts have offices in Rutland County and offer technical assistance. See contact information under "agricultural organizations."

Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) works to advance farming systems that are profitable, environmentally sound and good for communities through a nationwide research and education grants program.
