Rutland Area Farm and Food Link (RAFFL) promotes local food knowledge, production and market opportunities for farmers and community members throughout our region.

What's Growin' On

An online community of farmers in the Rutland region hosted by the Rutland Area Farm and Food Link

NOFA Vermont's two-year Journey Farmer program is accepting applications through Wednesday, December 18.

RAFFL

This program is designed to help beginning farmers succeed by matching them with experienced farmer mentors, providing them with educational opportunities (including free entrance to our upcoming Winter Conference and an educational stipend), and providing personalized technical and business planning assistance.
Applicants should be competent in a range of agricultural skills, have a solid commitment to farming in Vermont, and have reasonably clear and realistic plans for their future farming activities. Priority will be given to farmers already in the first few years of running their own farming enterprise.
For more information about the program and what it entails, please visit the Journey Farmer webpage. If you have any questions regarding the program, criteria for selection, or the application process, please contact Caitlin Jenness.
