Discover the secrets of soil health from the ground up with Dr. Wendy Sue Harper. Starting with an introduction into soil properties, participants will learn about soil health, the importance of soil tests and fertility management. We’ll hear from Agricultural Resource Specialist, Jennifer Alexander, on how a soil test is taken and the differences in the quality of hay and crop production in our area. We’ll also probe the soils in the field by looking at contrasting soil pits at Cerridwen Farm to discuss the differences and management options. If you have had a soil test done, bring your results to discuss. Dress for the weather.
