Upcoming Fall & Winter Farm Classes - from UVM Ext & WAgN

The kids are back in school. . . Should you be considering some coursework, too? With fall's arrival, WAgN and UVM Extension begin offering farm business classes around the state and online. The courses address a wide variety of business development issues -- from pre start-up through restrategizing a current farm business for its next phase. Upcoming offerings include: Growing Places: October 9, 16, 23 & 30 from 5:30-8:30 in Berlin, Morrisville and Brattleboro, VT., for aspiring and start-up farmers

Taking Stock: November, for farmers with 5 or more years in business.

Building a Sustainable Business: December-January, for farmers interested in developing a business plan.

Whole Farm Planning for Beginning Women Farmers: January-June, for women farmers interested in developing farm planning skills.

Introduction to Ag Financial Management: February, for all farmers seeking basic financial knowledge.
