Free Soil Sampling Opportunity!

RAFFL

june 09 007

Hi Folks, Here's an opportunity to work with Sylvia Harris (Vermont Association of Conservation Districts) and receive free soil sampling and interpretation.

She is looking for 10 beginning farmers in southern Vermont (that covers us in the Rutland Region) growing vegetable/fruit crops and/or managing pasture/hayland.

The program provides free soil sampling/interpretation services (up to 5 per  farm).  Participating farmers will be able to reduce costs, increase production and minimize nutrient run-off through a better understanding of soil testing and fertility and appropriate choice and application rates of soil amendments.

Please contact Sylvia directly if you are interested.
