Locally Grown Cooking Challenge

Big announcement: Rutland Area Farm and Food Link and the Downtown Rutland Partnership are hosting Rutland’s first ever Friday Night Food Fight – A Locally Grown Cooking Challenge! We’re currently accepting applications from amateur cooks to participate.

Stage one of this event will take place during Friday, July 13, 2012 at 7:00 PM–during Friday Night Live in downtown Rutland. Three contestants will be asked to prepare a delectable dish, on-the-spot, by choosing items from a mystery basket of local ingredients. Paul Hoffman, general manager from the Rutland Area Food Co-op, will narrate the ensuing shenanigans.

Contestants will compete for a cash prize to be awarded to the charity of their choice.

Entry applications must be received by 5PM on July 10, 2012.
